When I finish the design for a new painting, I’m often tempted to leave it as a large drawing.  At 44″ x 56,” the new painting, Liberty Avenue<\/em>, would be a large<\/strong> drawing. If I actually turned this painting into a drawing, I would most likely finish it with chalk instead of just pencil. <\/p>\n

Art justly prizes freshness but some things can only be experienced by creating time-consuming works. While there are many ways to fail when attempting an ambitious piece, some experiences are only available to those to persevere. Discipline is literally good as gold.<\/p>\n
