I enjoyed preparing my last video so much, I am charged-up to do another. In my last video about Jan van Goyen<\/a>, I mentioned his fellow Dutch Golden Ager, van Ruisdael. I’ve got a lot of material about this artist so I’ve already started the next video.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One benefit of visiting art museums regularity is that it gives you the chance to study artists previously unfamiliar or uncongenial. The Cleveland Museum’s collection of the Dutch Golden Age artists has led me to develop a real enthusiasm for them; artists such as van Ruisdael, van Goyen, and Teniers<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cleveland has several van Ruisdael’s including this gem painted when the artist was just 19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
