I was forced to customize–that is, fix–my easel when its wheels broke. A heavy-duty easel without wheels is next to useless. Now I am glad the easel broke because my fix is a significant upgrade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I replaced the plastic wheels with heavy steel and rubber wheels. Luckily the original holes in the easel frame were the right size for the new wheels, and I installed them without having to increase the hole size.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new wheels work so much better than the old ones. I can move even 8-foot paintings with ease. The wheels have locks too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the wheels broke, I cursed Utrecht but the upgrade has given new life to the old easel. I’ve abused this easel, but it’s still going strong with periodic maintenance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
