This means that the museum was filled with the type of people I try to avoid: Kamala-supporting, beret-wearing Boomers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The second surprise was discovering that the recently opened Manet-Morisot exhibition is a magnet for the Boomers I already mentioned. They love ole&rsquo; Berthe. I held my nose and swam through the overcrowded and warm exhibit rooms. There were two Manets that were new to me and call for another visit (not on a Tuesday!). Otherwise, the exhibit was swamped with drab paintings by the overrated Morisot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"internal-linking-related-contents\"><a href=\"https:\/\/thomasparkerhudson.com\/wordpress\/2012\/10\/cleveland-museum-of-art\/\" class=\"template-2\"><span class=\"cta\">Read more<\/span><span class=\"postTitle\">Cleveland Museum of Art Opens Renovations<\/span><\/a><\/div><p>The worst surprise was learning that my favorite among the museum&rsquo;s paintings was not on exhibit. It was the first time during the 14 years that I&rsquo;ve been visiting the museum that I couldn&rsquo;t study David&rsquo;s <em>Cupid and Psyche<\/em>. Apparently, the painting isn&rsquo;t on loan as I first thought, but has been put into storage! What? What? This is horrible news.
