Don&rsquo;t get me wrong, I love my studio overlooking the lake, but compared to my last studio in Indian Mills, NJ, it&rsquo;s small. Large paintings like this one are difficult to move and store.<\/p>\n<p>One thing interesting about this painting&ndash;tentatively titled &lsquo;Ritual&rsquo;&ndash;is the use of an egg\/oil emulsion, which can be seen in the figure on the right. In the past I&rsquo;ve used egg tempera passages in oil paintings. Recently I&rsquo;ve used the egg-oil emulsion instead.&nbsp; I mix zinc white pigment into the egg-oil medium.
