This recently finished sketch is on a canvas board that was prepared as I described in an earlier post.<\/a> I deviated from my normal medium<\/a> with the addition of a small amount of stand oil.<\/p>\n

We lived close to the State hospital in Trenton for several years in a neighborhood called Hilltonia. Hilltonia is a great neighborhood known for being along the path Washington used after crossing the Delaware on his march to Trenton.<\/p>\n

I regularly rode my bike and walked my dog through the expansive hospital grounds. The older architecture made the campus seem like a Gothic novel or movie set.
