In the upper painting, “Whispers,” I am using zinc white. Lead white is my preferred white but it is getting scarce and expensive. A 225ml tube of Old Holland cremitz white is $200–on line! Old Holland’s flake white #1, which is a mixture of lead white and zinc, is OK and not too expensive (relatively speaking). I might start using that or mix my own lead and zinc.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
