This is a painting I’ve been working on for several days.  The 44″ x 60″ oil titled The News<\/em> is part of a new series that all share the same size. I’ve been stretching canvases and working on drawings for some time now.<\/p>\n

The News<\/em> is the first of the series that I’ve actually applied paint to. Large paintings like this present several challenges. The new, large-size easel certainly makes working on big paintings like this easier. Unfortunately, my studio’s low ceiling limits me to paintings no larger than this. My new auxiliary space will be ready this fall and enable larger paintings, 6′ – 8,’ which is the limit of my ambition.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
