Fall ended abruptly with light snow and bitter cold. Today’s high is 19.<\/p>\n

Here’s the new shed seen from the studio door–the old studio door. This shed enabled me to convert the garage into a studio.<\/p>\n

The old studio might look cluttered in this photo but it’s nearly emptied of paintings, canvases, and supplies. I will miss the north-facing windows overlooking the lake. But the new studio has more space and higher ceilings. It has enough space to keep all three easels up and working. The ceiling is high enough to manage big paintings–5′ x 5.’<\/p>\n

In this photo, you can see one of my two paint cabinets. The other one, the one with whites, earths, and reds has already been moved to the new studio. The new studio has good light but it’s south-facing. And it doesn’t overlook the lake. But it was getting impossible to move among the clutter. It was getting so bad that a visitor might think the owner was a hoarder.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
