The east coast is blasted by a historical storm–over two feet of snow in Washington. Airports from NC to New England are closed.<\/p>\n

For once, the worst weather in the eastern part of the country isn’t over us here in NE Ohio. The weather has been very winter-like lately but, overall, the winter has been on the milder side. Lake Erie, as you can see in this photo I took this morning from my backyard, has frozen over. But this happened over the last few days. Typically, the lake is frosted by the first week of January.<\/p>\n

It’s sunny as I write, but there is still a lot of winter ahead of us. Some of our worst weather occurs in February.<\/p>\n
