This is the state of my palette after taking it from overnight storage.  I clean the palette each morning with a scrapper and remove dried colors.  Often, if no colors dried overnight, I’ll start right in.  My medium is fast drying and there’s no danger of previous mixtures affecting new ones.<\/p>\n

This homemade palette has been my everyday palette for several years.  I bought the framed, glass-covered print at Goodwill, removed the print and painted the backing with a warm acrylic tone–instant palette that is easily cleaned.  I have several other prints in case this one falls apart.  One of the framed prints is extra large and I am tempted to use it, but his one fits into my butcher’s tray which makes it easy to store from session to session.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
