I finished Euclid Avenue #1<\/em> (in the photo’s background) this morning and then worked on On the Square<\/em> for the remainder of the day.  Both paintings are part of the Playhouse Square series.<\/p>\n

Both paintings are 48″ x 60″ and were prepared the same way.  However, On the Square’s surface is much poorer than Euclid’s Avenue #1’s.  Small variations in the preparation can make a lot of difference in the way the canvas handles. An intermediate varnish has finally corrected the problem (sinking in) and it’s handling pretty well now. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
