The Picnic<\/em> is another as-yet unfinished painting that I put aside until I could see it with fresh eyes. My eyes have freshened up and I recently had two good sessions pounding on it.

I like parts of the painting and consider several of them ‘done.’ What have I been doing? Adding some details while hiding others; strengthening areas, and softening others–you know, the usual.
