This morning I finished the first painting of 2019, Along 4th Street<\/em>. Today’s session was the 14th with this painting, which is par for a painting of this size, 40″x 50.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I used my normal medium throughout<\/a> except for some of the lights, such as the those in the large orange bag. I added a tiny (really small!) smidgen of sun-thickened linseed oil to the medium for those lights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gone are my oatmeal box brush holders. My daughter gave me heavy canisters for Christmas that make great brush holders. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to get on my hands and knees to search for brushes after knocking over the oatmeal boxes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
