I know me. When I finish a painting, if I don’t put it away I’ll find something to fix or improve. Paintings never get finished that way. It’s the deepest and rabbit-ity of all rabbit holes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I finished this painting, Phone Call on Main Street<\/em>, some time ago, but every time I look at it, I start arguing with myself. I have to fight the urge to pick up the brush.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This morning I lost (won?) the argument and improved<\/em> what needed improving. I worked on it for an hour before starting on today’s planned work. Who knows if I’ll go down this road again?
