The Fall along the shores of Lake Erie is always pleasant. The lake’s warm waters almost guarantee a lengthy Indian Summer, and this year has been especially mild. So time for the Fall studio cleanup. While helping me move canvases, my son asked me about this painting. “It’s called ‘Self-Portrait with Camera’? Is that some kind of joke, Dad?”

Not exactly a joke. If you look closely at the woman’s sunglasses, you can see my reflection as I took their photograph.
