With the temperatures near 70, it felt like Spring. What a difference a week makes! Keith got his baseball stuff out and John and I went to the marina to inspect the Betty Jane. All boats are still in dry dock, of course, but we were not the only ones inspecting their boat. The ice on the Lake melted significantly and in the afternoon Keith was able to fish from our beach. Early in Spring the fishing from the shore is great, but as the water warms the bass and other fish head to deeper water. He caught about 20 bass today, believe it or not.
So the light was good. These are among the paintings I worked on these past two days.
The painting at the top is of the Colorado river and is so fresh, I am tempted to leave it as is. The bottom paintings are oil versions of two recent gouaches–one of Keith and one of a woman.
Finally, started a large gouache, a small oil portrait, and stretched several small canvases.
