Yesterday I noticed that I haven’t updated my galleries for a while. So, I added two paintings that I finished last year. Here is one of them, Woman in Black-stripped Dress:
Woman in Black-stripped Dress is 40″ x 54.”
While working on the gallery, I noticed that the gallery plug-in, NextGen, wasn’t working properly; the pagination is broken. I opened a ticket with the plug-in vendor.
When I started my blog 10 years ago(!), WordPress was an easy choice. If I was starting my blog today, I would use a static site generator like Hugo. Static site generators give users more control than a CMS like WordPress. I would have complete control over the gallery and have no need to rely on a third party. To be fair, the gallery vendor, Imagely, has been responsive whenever I’ve had problems in the past.
