I know what you’re thinking but, no, not that kind of loaded. I get excited when I prepare my palette for another painting session. Seeing the waiting colors is inviting.
I coat the glass palette with oil before applying the colors and mixed tones. This makes cleanup easier. In this photo, I propped the palette vertically on the easel and some of the paint slid down. The biggest offender was the ivory black from a fresh tube. No problem.

This palette shows my usual selection of colors and mixed tones. I used to prepare more tones but I find that the cool grays and burnt sienna tones cover most situations. I have some extra reds and purples to play with this time.
