The Gapka oil paint maker was unknown to me when they reached out to ask if I would be interested in trying their paints. I am always ready to try new materials, and was impressed that they had read enough of my blog to know my proclivities. “We don’t make lead white, and we do make some neon colors, but perhaps you’d like to try our paints anyway,” they wrote.
I agreed, and here are the twelve tubes Gapka sent me. This is a generous amount of paint and a good representation of their line of forty colors.

They sensibly sent a tube of unbleached titanium instead of their bleached version. If I can’t use lead white, I’d use titanium and preferably the unbleached version.
I’ll review the paints after I’ve put them through their paces. Gapka isn’t sponsoring the review, and they didn’t require any conditions for the review. If they had, I wouldn’t have accepted their paint.
