I finished Three Women in Sandals (I know, I know–a lame name. Three Women in Sandals is another painting in my Playhouse Square series. It’s 44″ x 60.” By now, I’ve created a large number of paintings in the Playhouse Square series and I still plan several more. I have not exhausted the subject–far from it.

More Playhouse Square work. This one is creatively titled Trip to Playhouse Square. This (still) unfinished painting is 40″ x 50.” I like the size and recently ordered enough stretchers for 9 paintings sizes 40″ x 52″ and 40 x 56.” Yesterday, I walked downtown by the lake and someone nearly hit me with their

This unfinished painting, Lunch Alone is 32″ x 46,” is part of the Playhouse Square series. I like my medium a lot but I’m always willing to try new things, especially when they come from James Groves. I worked on Booth at the Fair these past two days. It’s starting to move my way. I can struggle with paintings for a variety of reasons, sometimes technical, sometimes who knows what. This painting hit a groove straightaway and began to slide into place, except I didn’t want it to go that direction. Now, like

One day in the park at Playhouse Square, I saw a young lady sitting alone and eating her lunch. As usual, I was taking photos and I wanted to take some of her but I didn’t want her to freeze as people sometimes do when they see a camera. So I asked if she would
