This unfinished painting on the easel, Euclid Avenue II, is from my Playhouse Square series. (Euclid Avenue I has a lot more figures and is still in the drawing stage.) The painting is 4′ x 5′ and simply covering it with paint a bit of chore. I’ve already spent a lot of time on it, the drawing alone took numerous sessions, but no part of it is done, or even close.

Today’s session with this painting was a short one. I spent the last two days drawing, getting two other paintings ready, both 40″ x 50.” I’m using neutral-gray toned canvases. You can see an example in the background of the photograph, which is Euclid Avenue I (also 4′ x 5′).
