The Girl in the Purple Boots is 40″ x 50.” I enjoy the size so much, I prepared 6 additional canvases of the same size. One is in the drawing stage and another is in the early painting stage.
The Girl in the Purple Boots is composed from three photos taken in Manhattan. It’s not part of my urban series, Playhouse Square. I also worked on its companion this morning–Sunday Parade. Sunday Parade is another painting composed from photographs taken in Manhattan.
I have another design with many of the same figures in it, although they are in different positions and attitudes. It might be fun to paint another painting similar to this one. The same but different.
